Synopsis: [Spoiler Warning]

Jiroh Kanzaki just returns from Europe as a F1 racer. Jiroh has an attitude problem especially when it cames with racing. He just obsessed with racing, even during a F1 test drive, he supposed to be a 2nd driver but he’s sense of compete takes him into trouble by wrecking the car with the 1st driver.

Meanwhile his father has turn the house they live as a orphanage house called Kaze No Oka (Windy Hill) Over there 12 children living together range from 2 years to 16 years and everyone of them has their own background that drive them to live at Kaze No Oka also there are few other staff, such as 2 teachers, 1 cook, Jiroh’s divorce sister as the administrator and Jiroh’s father as the school master. Jiroh asked his father if he can stay there until he got another contract as a F1 racer. The problem is he has little second chance to be a racer not even with his sensei’s team. But in the end his sensei allows him to work as a mechanic.

In the Kaze No Oka problems arise one by one by the children or member of staff. And it leads to a bigger problem, the community against the existance of the orphanage and demand the place to be shut. By that time Jiroh, initially hates kids, and the children has bond a feeling. Jiroh decide to bet his whole career as a racer to get the prize money and help the place to re-open. He agree on a condition that if he lose, he will retire as a racer. So does Jiro succeed?

Review:
The story line was awesome. How the feeling and story develop is really neat and meticulous. I love the names of the kids, they are Shunta, Akira, Mo-chan, Aoi, Toru, Harumi, Nao, Daisuke, Shuuhei, Yukie, Misae and Sanae (the youngest, and she is the cutest although my fave is Shunta-kun) I cried several times, especially when Daizuke scene’s also Misae and Shunta-kun scene’s. Kimutaku was really funny and suits the role. Jiroh is ignorance, crude and simple. But he’s got rub off too with the children.

One thing I regret is the ending. It’s too cheesy for my taste. Get real! How come people in the stadium simply ignore the real winner just for Jiroh sake? Also how can Tomomi and later the children can find him in the mazey huge stadium. If they’re meet outside, it’s make more sense. Overall it’s a very good and touching story.
