Chinese director Zhang Yimou and composer Tan Dun plan to debut an opera called "Emperor Qin Shihuang" at the New York Metropolitan Opera House on the 21st of December 2006. Placido Domingo, the spanish tenor, is expected to be the leading singer.

Initial D is based on a Japanese anime and computer game with the same name.
Initial D part II will be titled "Initial D- Alps mountain racing arena". The storyline will be in the European ice racing arena. Jay Chou will be in part II but Jordan Chan and Edison Chan might be excluded.

Hong Kong Disneyland to be opened to public on September 12.
The stars in the opening concert are: Kelly Chan, Andy Lau, Eason Chan, Joey Rong, Jolin Tsai and Jacky Cheung.
