Goguryeo (not including North Korea) is part of China regardless of how most Korean think. It's one of those winner's spoil. Unless China disintegrate, it will always be part of China.

The analogy is this: California was part of Mexico a few years back, but California will always be part of the US ever since Mexico lost it. Hence, California is part of the US history.
