Xiao Bei [Qiao Qiao]
Due to her dad being called Lao Bei, her nickname became Xiao Bei. Her mother left the house after she was just born and only left a black and white photo behind. At Zhong Nan Salon’s influence over the years, Xiao Bei inheirited her father’s hair cutting abilities and her work all made Lao Bei very proud. After shaving off 1000 soldiers’ hair, she won the “Jun Zhong Lover” title.

Xiao Bei has always been very frustrated at heart as there have been conflicts between old fashion cutting style and the newest haircutting methods. She was very interested in the new ways to design a person’s haircut but didn’t want to upset her dad and could only keep her interest hidden. When Neo-Image appeared, Xiao Bei always tried to criticize them in front of her dad and hid her true feelings. However, the more she push her feelings away, the more unrest she felt as Xiao Bei had to think about Zhong Nan Salon’s danger and future. One day, she accidentally bumped into her friend Tong Tong, who was at Neo-Image’s salon to have her hairstyle designed. Xiao Bei was angered and used their friendship to request that Tong Tong stop having her hair cut. Ya Si who was standing at the side couldn’t stand this ridiculous request and made a bet with her. If Tong Tong under Neo-Image has a new successful outlook, Ya Si wants Xiao Bei to be a hairwasher here. Unfortunately, he won the bet and Xiao Bei stepped into Neo-Image to begin her life’s changing point.

Du Ya Si [Ming Dao]

A car accident made his mother and twin brother Ya Jun died suddenly. In order to prevent his grandmother from learning this scary truth, Ya Si ended up changing into his brother’s hairstyle and usual clothes style to visit his grandmother and make her not be worried.

His work forces him to be strict & cool, cold and straightforward so much so that no one can get near him too. He never remembers anyone that looks ugly or is disfigured. There is a place in Ya Si’s heart for his one and only empress, Qing Kong who is waiting to return to the country. Qing Kong is pretty and direct too, and her strict attitude towards work and her fighting spirit does not lose to Ya Si at all but Ya Si has already accepted Qing Kong’s attitude towards him and the tough training she gives him towards love. He has always been waiting for Qing Kong to fulfil her promise and return. The Ya Si that’s missing Qing Kong a lot would go to the Water Chamber daily, the place where the two person had proclaimed love. When Er Qi was nine, his father and Hong Kong’s gangster Chen Ge gambled and lost Er Qi to Chen Ge. From then onwards, Er Qi had a gangster background. Years later, he finally managed to escape from Chen Ge and went to Taiwan. However, Chen Ge was trying his best to get him back to Hong Kong.

Fernando Fei Nan Du [Jacky Zhu Fan Gang]

Fei Nan Du, a playful person, thinks that to flirt and have more than one girlfriend is a fact of life and totally correct. From his point of view, all girls in life have their attractive side and his love is selfish and unkind, never concentrated on one.

At Neo-Image, Fei Nan Du fought with Ya Si as the two of them have different opinions on the management of the salon. Fei Nan Du looks upon the outlook of everything, and feels that spending money on advertisements are a must and strictly requires the hair-washer girls to style themselves up. However, Ya Si values the outcome, and feels that even without lavishing on advertisements and other things, as long as the hair design and style is up to standard, it would naturally win the customers’ heart over... In Neo-Image, the two of them frequently have two different own opinions.

Zhe Ming [Huang Yu Rong]
23 years old.
Zhong Nan Salon’s Lao Bei’s disciple.
Grew up with Xiao Bei and they are close friends.
Calls Xiao Bei as Tai Ke girlfriend in public.

When Zhe Ming was young, his school grades wasn’t good and he aspired to be Tai Ke, act brave and fight a lot. However, after Lao Bei fiercely punished him, he put Lao Bei as his idol and put protecting Xiao Bei as his duty instead. Although he turned over a new leaf, he still could not change his gangster-like personality.

He worked hard to chase after Xiao Bei and told everyone in public that Xiao Bei was his future wife. However, this didn’t work on Xiao Bei. When he learnt that Xiao Bei was rotating between Ya Si and Er Qi’s side, he lost faith as he felt that his career wasn’t as successful as Ya Si and his acting fierve wasn’t as good as Er Qi. Zhe Ming thus decided to become stronger.

Magic Room’s magic isn’t just in changing people’s look. It can change a person’s attitude towards life. When Zhe Ming changed his thinking, he decided not to be playful and troublesome anymore and reset his life time goal. In the end, Zhe Ming went to support Neo Image’s three front line hairstylist and became Neo Image’s fourth frontline hairstylist.

Tong Tong [Xiao Jie]
Twenty years old
Neo image’s hair washer

Tong Tong’s hobby is to beautify herself and she could use a few more boyfriends. As she has always wanted to be pretty, Tong Tong has always wanted to be a professional hairstylist since young but she could never leave her hometown. She studied Hair design as her main degree when she was at Bei Shang and became Xiao Bei’s colleague. Tong Tong is a very easygoing girl and after the graduated, she went to live at Zhong Nan Salon. She didn’t mind being ordered around by Xiao Bei at all.

Tong Tong was attracted by Ya Si’s talent in haircutting and didn’t obey her promise to Xiao Bei, which was to not go to Neo Image for a haircut. This made Xiao Bei lose her bet and Xiao Bei had to become Neo Image’s hair washer and in the end, she herself entered Neo Image. Tong Tong is Xiao Bei’s most loyal and faithful friend.

Ke Lan [Sui Tang]
Twenty-seven years old.
Ex-famous model

Ke Lan has a good and attractive figure. She rose to fame in a short time after she stepped into the modeling world as she had talent. She became famous immediately and was asked by lots of TV and Movie stations to be their advertisement girl. When she was at the peek of her modeling career, she met Fei Nan Du. She quit her job immediately without regrets. However, Fei Nan Du didn’t change himself for Ke Feng’s sake and continued with his flirty personality.

Living in a beautiful palace’s Ke Lan, was like a jailed bird. After she met Er Qi though, she mistakenly thought that Er Qi went all over the world before and had a dangerous and carefree life. Her competitive attitude and personality is fully showcased through this.

Synopsis:
World-wide famous' hair salon Neo-Image has open and three popular hairstyle -- Ya Si, Er Qi, Fei Nan Du's exaggerated and beautiful hairstyle attracted huge crowds. Just at this time, an external official came to them for help. There was an event called "Chinese Hairstyle Competition" and they have found a part-time working young female hair-dresser to compete against the French stylist to help advertise the French Hair Products. As this competition will greatly affect the country's status, the three guys decided to help.

Ya Si and the other two hairstylists decided to replace the young hair-dressers to help to earn a reputation for the country. When the bright and attractive model with the beautiful hairstyle that Ya Si and the others designed walked out, she received lots of cheers and support due to her fantastic hairstyle. The hair-dressers they chased off-stage were Neo-Image's neighbour at the alley nearby, called "Zhong Nan Li Fa Ting" worker, Nuo Ruo Yi(Xiao Bei). Although Ya Si chased Xiao Bei off the stage, but seeing her snipe off the first bunch of hair, he realised that she had a lot of talent and secretly decided to win Xiao Bei over.

Neo-Image's grand opening to the next door family-run style Zhong Nan Li Fa Ting was a huge attack. Zhong Nan's boss was called Lao Bei, after leaving the army, he had set up this hair salon and now that the alley has opened such a new hair salon, their customers definitely decreased and even more importantly, his daughter Xiao Bei's heart has been attracted to Neo-Image after its grand and exciting opening.

Chou Mei has followed Ya Si to 18 different towns and has finally gotten the change to have him make her hairstyle. On Neo-Image's opening that night, Chou Mei stepped into the shop's "Magic Room" and didn't come out. Through the dark night's illuminated winder, Xiao Bei saw Fei Nan Du wave a knife and fresh blood splashed out; Neo-Image back door, Xiao Bei saw Er Ya handed over a huge cloth bag to two other person and Xiao Bei thought that Chou Mei must have met an accident and decided to inform the police. Ya Si and the others were brought to the police station and Xiao Bei opened a Zhong Nan press conference to explain the murder she witnessed. Soon, Chou Mei returned home and that ended the whole exciting drama, but when the truth was figured out, it was already passed the newspaper's news submission time.

The second day, “Suspicious Murder Case” made the headlines. Fei Nan Du hurriedly opened a press conference in front of the shop to clear the mess. The Head of Security came to the Zhong Nan salon and the press all pushed forward, asking about what happened. Ya Si and Xiao Bei betted on the next day’s news’ size and Ya Si unfortunately lost to Xiao Bei, so he not only had to accompany Chou Mei to shoot wedding photos, but also went to Zhong Nan’s top floor, otherwise known as the “Haunted House”, to sleep for a night. A drunken Ya Si mistook Xiao Bei to be Qing Kong and tenderly hugged her. Zhe Ming unfortunately ended up locking the doors without realizing that Ya Si and Xiao Bei was inside. Hence, Ya Si and Xiao Bei spent a night together.

Half a year ago, in an accident in England, Ya Si lost his mom and brother, but he didn’t dare to tell his grandmother that lived in the mountainside. Thus, he acted as his twin brother that died in the accident, Ya Jun to visit her. He happened to meet Xiao Bei who was doing voluntary work by cutting hair. Ya Si then had to continue to act.

Ya Si and Xiao Bei unknowingly walked to “Water Maze Chamber”, where there was a rumor that a pair of couple if they can walk through the chamber without deep thoughts about how to do it, are destined to be lovers. Years ago, Ya Si and Qing Kong didn’t manage to walk through but this time, Xiao Bei however, accidentally walked through, which made Ya Si very shock.

Ya Si and Chou Mei’s wedding photos were enlarged and put outside the shop which made Ya Si had ideas of revenge and when Xiao Bei’s helped Tong Tong was at Neo-Image, Ya Si hoped that she would come to work and hence Ya Si bet with Xiao Bei again that if Tong Tong came to Neo-Image, Xiao Bei must come too to be the wash hair person. Tong Tong’s betrayal caused Xiao Bei to lost the bet but when Xiao Bei thought of leaving her father, she felt very uncertain and met with an car accident when she was not paying attention. She felt a guy saving her at that time but she could only remember that he was wearing a basketball T-Shirt with the letters “23” on it.
On Xiao Bei’s first day at work, there was a fight between Emma and Mo Ke Feng over some advertisements project. Mo Ke Feng was at the top of her career when she fell in love with Fei Nan Du but flirty Fei Nan Du loves Emma and got caught by the media kissing her. It was only through Er Qi and Ya Si’s effort that Ke Feng was able to win back the advertisement project.

Er Qi’s god-father was one of Hong Kong’s gang’s big brother, Chen Ge. Er Qi’s father lost Er Qi to him in a bet and to Er Qi, Chen Ge was his forever master. As Chen Ge’s ninth wife Bai He likes Er Qi, it caused Chen Ge to have some misunderstandings and Er Qi had no choice but to escape Hong Kong. Chen Ge however, also sent his men to “invite” Er Qi back to Hong Kong. Er Qi met with them a couple of times and Xiao Bei always happened to be nearby too. This made Xiao Bei mistake Er Qi to be an undercover detective. Er Qi didn’t deny and Xiao Bei ended up falling in love with Er Qi because of his mysterious background.

Qing Kong silently came back to the country but didn’t went to see Ya Si as promised and observed him from the side instead. She noticed that Ya Si was really nice to Xiao Bei and was slightly disappointed. Neo-Image organized a yearly friendly competition, Ping Bi, for workers that was due to start. They can find their friends to be models. Qing Kong hid her status and went near Xiao Bei to become her good friend. Ya Si’s twin brother Ya Jun had past away but Ya Si kept acting as his brother to hide the fact from his grandmother. To make her happy, Xiao Bei agreed to be Ya Jun’s girlfriend for a day and it was on that day that Xiao Bei noticed many of Ya Si’s qualities and fell for Ya Si.

The Ping Bi finally started and the most likely to be promoted hairstylist Mango, chose to have Zhe Ming who had a huge fight with Xiao Bei. Xiao Bei tried to concentrate and was about to show off her skills when Qing Kong came to Neo-Image and told Xiao Bei that she was Ya Si’s girlfriend. When Xiao Bei knew that, she was hurt and she lost all her ideas and innovation. Thus, she lost the Ping Bi. Er Qi also realized then that Xiao Bei’s feelings for Ya Si was out of the ordinary.

Qing Kong’s appearance made Xiao Bei face opponents in both her career and love. Her love with Ya Si was filled with uncertainty. Neo-Image’s England sales manager Anna, was Ya Si’s father’s mistress. When Anna returned to the country, she favoured Fei Nan Du more and when it came to the running of Neo-Image, she and Ya Si were both determine to go towards a hairstylist path and fought against each other. Are Ya Si and Er Qi able to prove that dreams would come true if you chase for it? Xiao Bei is stuck between Ya Si and Er Qi and who will she end up with in the end?...
