FMP! TSR based on the FMP! Series novel title Continue Day by Day.

Synopsis:
The story is continuing from FMP! About the double life that Sousuke Sagara has to lead. He is a merchant soldier with a military organisation called Mithril and also as a high school student in Jindai HS, Tokyo, Japan. His live as a HS student was also part of his undercover work for Mithril. His duty is to protect Chidori Kaname, who was identify as a “Whisper”, a person with special ability with a knowledge of certain technology. Besides Sousuke from Operational Bureaus that send to protect Chidori, Information Bureaus from Mithril also sending another agent, code name: Wraith. Sousuke also find it hard to keep up with the task, as he takes all of them seriously, he did all the military work, and as an undercover student he diligently study for exam and making his homework.

Mithril is not the only military organisation that owned “Whisper”, another rasing organisation called Amalgam was also has a “Whisper” among them. Each “Whisper” has their own speciality that normally very useful in developing weapons for military.

Sousuke were getting harder in keeping up with the double life, added to his character that was shaped as a soldier and leading a hard life since little in a war among the Afganisthan, he is hard to blend among the society and end up in trouble everytime he thought there’s suspicious situation comes up. So Mithril decide to pull him away from guarding Chidori. Sousuke is so upset and feel that he has failed his mission. He start to show his dislikeness toward Mithril. Chidori herself facing another problem as Sousuke was not protecting her. She was chased by an assassin.

Sousuke depression making him losing his confidence especially when he was with Arbalest, his AS that equipped with Lambda Driver. He than assigned with Mao to another assignment, but he was spacing out and losing control over the vehicle. In the end he decide to leave his assignment and go wonder around in the war zone city. Later he was informed that Chidori was killed and it brought him into further depression state.

Review:

I’ve read the novel before I saw the anime and I’m satisfy with the ending on both novel and anime. It’s complement each other. The novel manage to bring out the true feeling of the anime especially for the thoughts of Chidori and Sousuke. Chidori’s desperation was potray so much better in the anime and Sousuke’s deppression after losing his confidence is much better told in the novel.

The graphic for TSR is much better than FMP! and Fumoffu. So many close-up, up to the point it’s kinda annoying to me Even in the end where Chidori just lay her head on Sousuke chest the picture angle is just half of Sousuke’s head with the school window in the back ground… ggrrr…

I recommend you either read the novel before (but the surprises will be less) or after (make you confuse with some of the unspoken scenes) watching the anime. It’ll helps a lot.

I hope they’ll do the 4th season – Dancing a Very Merry Christmas (for me Fumoffu is season 2, but some ppl doesn’t count it at all)
