Synopsis [SPOILER ALERT!]:

True Love Never Run Smooth…

Teppei and Riko work in the same office. From the beginning of their contact, both always has a problem with each other. But as time goes, Riko starting to like Teppei but keep it hidden as she was scare with rejection. The reason was Teppei just recently meet up with his high school girlfriend, Sanae. But now Sanae turn out to be Soichiro, Teppei’s older brother’s girlfriend.

One event to another, Teppei start to realise that Riko’s efforts was trying to get his attention, not just because she’s a silly, loud and annoying girl. In the end they start dating. But problems starts to rise, as Sanae still consider Teppei as her good friend especially since he’s her fiance’s younger brother. Soichiro also involved with another girl from his past, causing Sanae getting close to Teppei to pour her worried and concern.

Riko was trying very hard to be mature about their relationship, even Erika, her close friend, can see the changes Riko made after she’s dating Teppei. But Riko self-confidence was thrown away and she decide to quit her job and go back to her home country. Her reason is she need to help her parents business as her younger sister will go to College in Tokyo next year.

Soichiro and Sanae engagement was finally come to an end and both decide to leave Tokyo to work somewhere else. With Sanae and Riko leaving Tokyo, Teppei decide to go after the one he really loves.

Review:
If my memory serves me right ( … sounds like Iron Chef) this dorama is the first time I know Takuya Kimura and needless to say I like him totally! I won’t makes too much on what make me really like him, or this review will turn into a fan blabbering

What I think of the story is, they all about the difference manner that each gender have more in approaching a problem. What I mean, with Riko, she just want Teppei to talk to her if there’s any problem and when Teppei did, she’s so please because those little knowledge make her feel closer to Teppei. But typical guy, Teppei would not always talk about what bothering him especially since it’s involving his old flame. In the end so many misunderstaing happen because Riko assuming and Teppei not telling.

In reality, I think this is happen quite often in couple’s relationship, minus the ‘coincidence’ that only happen in this story. But, yeah, men are from Mars and women are from Venus. Different language too sometimes.

The songs that were use are mainly 3 songs, the opening by Cagnet, Matsu Takako’s – True True and Utada Hikaru’s – Hear Me Cry. I love all the songs, especially True True is a sad songs and put a lot during Riko’s hard time.

The main characters acting also very good, but of course I especially rooted to Takuya Kimura dan Matsu Takako. They also work together as the main character in Hero. Before they work together but not end up as a couple in Long Vacation.

Conclusion:
Even though the drama is not recent, but the story are still good and enjoyable.

I would give 5 of 5 if I just watch for the first time but my current rating is now +1/2 ...
