Synopsis - JDorama:
Hana yori Dango evolves around a story about a poor girl who enters into an elite high school where she meet a group of 4 young powerful rich boys in that school, and from then on she encounters various of problems and also start a piquant spring love story.

Review:
I know some people prefer MG Taiwan’s version as the manga adaptation of HYD. I found myself that I prefer HYD Japan’s version. In MG, my impression was it’s like a ‘tarik ulur’ story. DMT was a cry baby and the rest of the cast was just extra ornamen of boys. Body wise ok, they were more muscular, but acting and story wise .. uhm.. I prefer HYD.

Matsumoto Jun’s Doumyouji Tsukasa is well potray as a really snob rich brat. And new comer Inoue Mao also give a better translation for Makin Tsukushi’s character. Her fighting face was so cute. Even DT admit she looks cute when she’s smile and when she’s angry …

HYD was really look ‘bermodal’ with those branded jewelry and cars (although for jewelry there’s always a possibility of fake ones ) and the boys look very flowerly. The setting they have is in HS, which is making the boys really stands out while wearing designer clothes comparing with the uniform that the whole school wearing.

Because of the short length of the episodes it seems they butcher a lot of scenes and characters, but I don’t really mind a fast pace story They have plenty of time to develop the story especially between Tsukushi and Tsukasa. I have not read the manga yet, but I heard the ending of in this adapatation was similar with the manga. Which is make sense since these people are still in their high school years.
