Honestly, it wasn't as good as HXH when they fight genei ryodan. But still quite entertaining.

awalnya bagus, idenya lumayan, terakhirnya payah. yet another series plagued by immature-always-crying-and-screaming characters. *sigh*

New Line to adapt 'Monster' manga

New Line Cinema has acquired feature film rights to "Monster," a best-selling Japanese manga comic book series from author Naoki Urasawa. Neil Kaplan, Pen Densham and John Watson of Trilogy Entertainment are producing. "Monster" is a psychological thriller that tells the story of a young doctor who saves the life of a little boy only to find out a few years later that the life he saved was that of a brilliant killer. The doctor must then track down the young killer and solve a larger conspiracy. Urasawa is a manga master in Japan, where "Monster" has been adapted into an animated television series and has spawned 18 volumes as a manga series. The "Monster" mangas have sold more than 25 million copies in Japan, and it has a strong following in Asia and Europe. The book's publisher, Shogakukan Inc., is executive producing the project. Shogakukan was behind the "Pokemon" series. Trilogy produced "The Outer Limits" TV series as well as the TV version of "Carrie." Feature credits include "Backdraft" and "Blown Away." Overseeing the project for New Line are production executives Cale Boyter and Magnus Kim. (Borys Kit)

From FilmForce:

Monster Manga Coming to Film
New Line takes a stab at adaptation.
April 07, 2005 - After selling 25 million comic books in Japan, plenty overseas, and being transformed into an anime series, Monster is coming to America. According to a news piece at The Hollywood Reporter, New Line Cinema has reached an agreement to produce a film based on the popular manga, which now spans 18 volumes.

The project is in too early a stage to name any acting or directing talent, but New Line production executives Cale Boyter (Dumb and Dumberer, The Butterfly Effect) and Magnus Kim (Monster-in-Law) will oversee the project.

Monster is a supernatural thriller written by accomplished manga author Naoki Urasawa. The story surrounds a surgeon who saves the life of a young boy against his boss's orders. When he later discovers that the boy is a genetically modified violent killer, he decides to hunt down his former patient and uncover the conspiracy behind him.
