:>:>Halo folks!

Lex's b-day is back, so I need some help on certain words. I tried Kamus.net of course as usual, but.. hm.. seems like nobody can understand my bahasa! :blowup:

So.. here are some words that i would like to know. Please help this poor Nenek!

A long life friend
A man in my life

ok.. don't get those goose bumps.. I am sorry if I gave you those.

Also.. hm.. is there any other cute words similar to "Sayang"

THANK YOU VERY VERY much! :bow:

Are you trying to say "A long life friend" as in "An old friend"?
If that is so then the word is "Kawan lama". You can replace word "Kawan" with "Teman" or "Sahabat", same meaning there.
Or do you prefer "A life long friend"?
Which translate into "Kawan seumur hidup" or "Kawan sepanjang hidup" or "Teman hidup" (the last one is the more intimate one).

"A man in my life" translate into "Pria dalam hidupku".

If you're trying to use "Sayang" as something to call a person then in a bit similar way you can use "Yayang", "Kasihku".
If you are intending to use the word as an verb then you may use "Cinta".

A long life friend, can be traslated as "teman seumur hidup" but this word is a little bit odd, so I think you can use "teman selamanya" which means "friends forever"

A man in my life = Pria dalam hidupku.

good luck Nenek!

yep....friends forever sounds like you and him just want to be friends forever.

probably you want to say: "yonny mau jadi teman hidup untuk Lex" which means..."Yonny wants to be Lex's soulmate" ?

teman hidup = life-partner :D

what do you think?

buta = blind
huruf = alphabet(s)
buta huruf = illiterate

bodoh = stupid
bego = stupid, clueless
lu, lo, loe = you (informal form, slang used mainly in jakarta or betawi).
bodoh lu = you stupid

hmm usually we say 'bego lu' when joking among friends, which is similar to saying 'baka' or 'anta baka' in japanese. :D
