If I were Jodie, I would return the money to my client.
Why would I do that?
Am I insane? Nope. No one would deny $82,000 is quite a lot of money. However, in business there is something that has value more than money itself; it is called ?trust?. Of course, when I return the money, I do hope something in return. I hope my clients will open their eyes, and see me as the person who they should go to in business. They will see me as a reliable person who will never cheat on them. I believe it is worth more than $82,000.
Ok, my answer is not about what is right or wrong. It is more like what?s the best for me. Not the best for me now (of course the best for me now is taking the money and invest/spend/or whatever ?it?). In the end, I am only a hypocrite who expects something bigger in return through an ?investment?
Agree with Toon....trust is much more important than anything
and also..I don't think you are being a hypocrite. everybody wants to do something in return. Come on..nothing free in this world. Even saints do something in return.. (they expect to get their reward in heaven, etc)

well... good deeds, honesty, etc...they are all 'investment' also
