Hydropolis Hotel
Hydropolis Hotel will be the first underwater luxury hotel. It will have more than 200 bubble-shaped suites, a concert auditorium, a ballroom with its retractable roof and a spa on the Persian Gulf floor >60 feets below the water surface. The design includes three elements: a wave-shaped above-ground "land station" and the jellyfish-shaped underwater hotel, connected by a submerged transparent tunnel. The 26.6-acre >$500-million resort will be completed by late 2006.
