The film is director Hagishima Tatsuya's second go at adapting Otsuich's bestselling light novel series Kimi ni Shika Kikoenai. Hagishima previously adapted the main titular story with Narumi Riko and Koide Keisuke as leads, and now he's bringing the novel's second story, Kids, to the big screen as well. Koike Teppei stars as Asato, a sensitive young man with the ability to transfer other people's wounds to his own body.
