there have been some grumbling, mumbling, and rumbling about the pace of my translation of this book http://indozone.net/?j=translation/main/2 ... Jes kedding

Seriously, I am asking you how best to divvy up this task so I don't have to type it all by myself, with all my 11 fingers.......

This is my proposal,

1. I'll scans the books to a multipage tiff format
2. I'll send the image file to 2 (or 3) people. One to retype, and the other(s) to check and correct. Or they can retype part of the tiff and check the other's typing whatever suit them...
3. Send the txt file back to me since I am the only one who can post (Is that right Azz?)
4. I'll post them ASAP.

tp tiff tu pake program apa ya bukanya?

Seperti yang udah gua bilang. gua setuju. dan bersedia jadi sukarela. . ya itu tolong kasih tahu tiff pake program apa? kapan bisa di mulai? makin cepat makin baik.

yups, cuma yang bikin translation yang bisa post. tiff = format pic kaya jpg, gif, bmp, etc. rata2 semua prog buat buka pic bisa. di Windows XP malah ada "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" bisa buka kok (bukan Windows Paint loh). kalo ga ganti setting apa2 tinggal double-click tiff langsung kebuka.

bukannya pepe pake omnipage ? kok jadi image file ? seharusnya langsung jadi txt dan sisa di edit dikit2 kalo ada yg salah.
anyway, sorry pep, I am really swamped with thesis deadline right now, jadi cuman bisa kasi bantuan moral

saya bantu deh tapi gak mo jadi editor ah...mata bisa pegel...berhubung tina udah bantuin ngetik jadinya saya bantu dukungan moral aja deh

Gua malah udah duluan, hire Mon2 jadi typist gua... tapi sekarang lagi cuti nih dianya. Jadi siapa yg mau daftar jadi typist gua juga?

Aku kan cuma cuti 1 buku aja ntar book 7 bisa mulai lagi

Gue ngikud juga deh, buat typist boleh , buat edit2 juga bole

Kalo bisa format jpg aza, kalo Tiff gue enggak bisa buka (karna pake public computer)

Kalau scan document ke jpg format berabe. Aku mesti save filenya satu satu, and I'm a lazy person with little time to spare. Hence the tiff format.......

Like boss said, most if not all jpg viewer will also display tiff file. If yours doesn't, the better free viewer that I know is

Toon, my books are not made out of the finest quality of paper and ink, and omnipage is not smart when it is tasked with recognizing Indonesian words...

to xikuang :kayaknya hampir setiap komputer pake windows bisa buka TIFF, jadi pasti nggak ada masalah deh, kan tiap windows ada microsoft photo editor (untuk XP), dan kemungkinan besar TIFF bisa juga dibuka pake Paint (di accesories_nya windows)
