"The Epic of Tai-Tzu" revolves around the historical figure Nurhaci. Nurhaci lived in Northeastern China, or Manchuria, in the late 16th Century when the Ming Dynasty was in decline. He consolidated all Manchu tribes under his control and later founded the Qing Dynasty. TV Idol Ma Ching Tao stars in You Xiao Gang's "Epic of Tai-Tzu"
