Feel free to talk/discuss/post anything about Japanese music/songs/lyrics here. I am going to start this thread with Zard. They are the one who got me started into Japanese songs since 1994. Don't you know that Zard is actually a group ? The cover of their albums always have only the pictures of Izumi Sakai (vocalist) but they are actually a group.

Zard consists of :

Izumi Sakai (vocalist, lyricist), Fumito Machida (guitar), Hiroyasu Hoshi (bass), Kimitaka Ikezawa (keyboard), Kohsuke Michikura (drums)

The first song that got me started was Goodbye My Loneliness
It's their first début single in 1991. I heard the single spent several weeks on the charts and soon ZARD followed this shocking success with their first album "Good-bye My Loneliness"
